Access Statement

Introduction

Our house is a detached stone building in Rothbury with front gardens overlooking Rothbury. The front garden has assorted wooden seating for guests. There is also a barbecue you can use upon request.

 

We are fully licensed and offer a wide selection of drinks.

 

We have tried to provide as much information as possible in this statement.

Pre-Arrival

  • Bookings / enquiries can be made by phone or via our website.
  • The nearest bus stop is in the town.
  • The nearest train station is fifteen miles away in Morpeth.
  • We provide various tourist guides and schedules for Holy Island.
  • We can provide information in large print if requested.

 

Arrival & Car Parking Facilities

  • There is car parking space in front of the house.
  • The car park is levelled and covered in gravel.
  • The entrance to the house is gained by going up 14 steps.
  • Parking is 25 metres from the front door.
  • Parking can be arranged beside the house if required.
  • A metal ramp is also available upon request.

 

Main Entrance

  • There is a wooden door with a one key lock and door handle.
  • All guests are given a front door key with their room key.
  • Upon entering the house you come into the hallway. The guest lounge is on your right and the dining room is on your left. The reception area is straight ahead.

 

Lounge

  • Flooring is the original reconditioned floor boards.
  • Furniture is moveable and the settee non-feather.
  • One coffee table and lamp table.
  • One standing lamp, one table lamp, and wall lights.
  • Gas fire.
  • Teletext TV with remote control, DVD and video.
  • A selection of DVD's, books and daily newspapers.

 

Dining Room

  • Flooring is the original reconditioned floor boards.
  • Six tables are positioned in the room.
  • A buffet unit holds all the cereals, etc.
  • A small glass fridge.
  • A coffee machine.

 

Reception Area

  • A console table with registration forms and tourism leaflets.
  • We have a wide selection of drinks available from the reception area.

 

Bedrooms

  • Ensuite shower or bath, toilet and hand basin.
  • Flooring is cushion floor or tiles.
  • Shaver point and light in bathroom.
  • Bedrooms all have carpeting.
  • Bedside tables with lamps.
  • Hospitality tray.
  • TV, most with DVD.
  • Non- feather bedding.
