“Truly a Haven - we were wonderfully looked after”
Had a superb long weekend. Asking for a double and a single room we were given the single next door to the lovely suite which has a great sitting room with fantastic views across the valley. Huge room, lovely bathroom, brilliant breakfasts (with tons of choice) and so nice to be given homemade chocolates as well as biscuits. Reviewed 9 August 2011
“Perfect Bed & Breakfast”
I stayed at The Haven for two nights while cycling and hiking in this area. My room was spacious with a lovely view and with well thought out extras for travellers. “A haven from hard work - brilliant”
We had read the reviews but this was even better than we expected. Lovely airy rooms, tasteful decor and lots of quaint features. It had that real old England feel: sliding sash windows, beautiful gardens, the village clock chiming the hour. The lounge was a virtual treasure trove of information as were the hosts. “A great b & b the best we have been to”
The haven is a lovely place to visit, great food, lovely rooms, and best of all Roz & Ian are great hosts. The hotel sits overlooking Rothbury in a lovely secluded position yet only a few minutes walk to the centre of town. It's also very central for seeing anywhere in Northumberland with it's wonderful roads and hardly any traffic. Thanks... Reviewed 6 June 2011
